Transportation

Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School  is served by a variety of public bus services that ensure your child can travel to school. Although it is worth noting that it is a Parents/Carers responsibility to ensure that, if they accept a place at NBS, their child can arrive at school on time and travel to and from school safely.

The school is proud to collaborate with Sullivan Buses who provide all the public bus services for our students.   Sullivan Buses are NOT contracted by the School.  Sullivans bus services cover the following areas and go directly to the school:

Welwyn Garden City, Borehamwood and South Mimms, Potters Bar, Welham Green, London Colney, Hatfield, Shenley, Brookmans Park and Enfield.

There are other public bus services with stops on Hatfield Road.  You can check on the Intalink website for this information.

As there is no public service between Cheshunt and the School, NBS has a private arrangement with Golden Boy Coaches for students coming from that area but spaces are limited.

If you travel to school by bus – most buses will arrive and depart from the main school entrance. All students wait in the school playground until their bus arrives. We expect the same standard of behaviour in the playground and on transport to and from school as in the classroom. Buses leave promptly from the school at 3.25 pm.

If you come to school by car, – The drop off and pick up is at the Trinity building entrance – but drop off /pick up your child promptly – we kindly request that you do not occupy parking spaces or block access routes.

We welcome cyclists at NBS, there are some things you need to do:

  • Check your bicycle is in good working order – especially the brakes
  • Wear a safety helmet
  • Park your bike in the bike shed provided
