Nicholas Breakspear Friends Association

The Nicholas Breakspear Friends Association is a major initiative bringing together families, staff, friends and stakeholders to support the school with the following:

Fundraising: Finding easy and effective ways of raising funds to improve facilities, provide equipment in the school and also support our long-term plans to extend and refurbish the school.

Events: Enriching and supporting our school community with social events and activities.

Can you help?

We are always looking for new members to join the committee or just parents willing to help at events (even if you can only offer an hour) – so please contact our us at PTA@nbs.herts.sch.uk if you would like to help in any way.

OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL FOR 2023-24

Our fundraising target for 2023-2024 is £10,000.

All funds raised will be used to buy class laptops/trolleys

Post Covid-19 Fundraising

For the last few years, COVID-19 has severely restricted our fundraising activities.

Prior to COVID-19, the Friends of NBS have raised funds to help us lease 3 new minibuses which have been used to transport our students to sporting fixtures, theatre trips and various other external events.

We have also purchased new equipment for our Technology and Science departments.

‘The Chair Challenge’ helped the school to replace circa 500 Chairs throughout the whole school.

Past fundraisers have included NBS’s Got Talent, a Dinner and Dance Gala and auction, an exciting Race Night, the ever popular NBSfest and by raffles, tombolas and selling refreshments at various school events.
