Philosophy for More Able Students
Teaching is a mix of learning about past influencers and discussing their own views and ideas. The students grapple with issues from consciousness to inequality and enjoy creating their own philosophies about the world around them. The course benefits their thinking and expands their minds as well as introduces them to some of the key minds behind modern 21st Century thinking. It fosters independence and resourcefulness, encouraging students to research philosophical movements for themselves.
The programme is carried out during morning tutor times so that it does not interfere with any areas of the traditional curriculum.
