The Sunday Times has named Nicholas Breakspear Catholic School as one of the happiest secondary schools in Britain. This recognition is based on an in-depth analysis of five years of data from Ofsted’s Parent View surveys, which gather feedback from over 500,000 parents annually. The survey focused on the percentage of parents who agreed or strongly agreed that their child is happy at their school. Schools with at least 500 places and a minimum of 100 parental responses in a single year were included in the evaluation, covering 1,934 state secondary schools across England and Wales.

In this analysis, NBS achieved an outstanding 98% parent satisfaction rate, with parents agreeing or strongly agreeing that their children are happy at our school. This places us among the top schools in the country for student happiness and well-being and cements our status as the happiest school in Hertfordshire. We extend our gratitude to our entire school community for their continuous support, dedication and commitment.
